Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest safety standards
• Take and process dental x-rays, ensuring clear and accurate images
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and support treatment coordination
• Welcome patients warmly and help them feel at ease throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Current X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Prior experience as an orthodontic dental assistant highly valued
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and digital record keeping
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail in infection control and sterilization
• Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
