Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as directed, always prioritizing patient comfort
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, reinforcing positive habits
• Document patient care accurately using Denticon software and maintain up-to-date records
• Provide a welcoming, reassuring presence to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Friendly, patient-focused team player with a positive attitude
• Orthodontic assisting experience is a must - you'll hit the ground running
• Proficiency with Denticon practice management software (the office uses it daily)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Excellent communication skills, both with patients and fellow team members

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth understanding of orthodontic instruments and sterilization techniques
• Skilled in taking dental X-rays, impressions, and photos
• Solid grasp of dental terminology and procedures
• Comfortable navigating Denticon for charting and scheduling
• A gentle, caring approach that puts patients at ease
