Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
• Manage chairside assistance and hand instruments to the orthodontist

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of a dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification for dental radiography
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
