Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, supporting their daily activities and promoting independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding with dignity and respect
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to nursing staff, ensuring timely interventions
• Document care provided accurately and maintain a safe, clean environment for residents
• Build meaningful connections with residents and their families, offering emotional support and companionship
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans and enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a genuine passion for senior care
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented approved exemption required
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with residents and team members
• Must be able to pass background checks and comply with facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and infection control practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to use electronic documentation systems
• Understanding of HIPAA and resident rights
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
