Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during advanced surgical procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions and other complex oral surgeries.
• Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse oximetry) to ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Administer nitrous oxide and assist with IV sedation, ensuring patient comfort and calmness.
• Take high-quality panoramic X-rays to aid in diagnosis and surgical planning.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dental Assistant in oral surgery or a similar specialty
• Proficiency in taking vital signs and monitoring patients during procedures
• Hands-on experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation protocols
• Ability to take panoramic X-rays with accuracy and precision
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental Assistant certification (CDA/RDA) is a plus
