Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, RTs, and techs to develop care plans
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform neonatal resuscitation (NRP) as needed
• Educate families on newborn care and support them through the NICU experience
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification – required
• NICU experience preferred – Level III or higher, 2+ years
• Strong critical‑care skills and ability to work in fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Level III NICU patient care

• Neonatal resuscitation and emergency procedures
• Patient‑to‑nurse ratios management (1:1 to 1:4)
• Effective documentation and interdisciplinary communication
