Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry readings and respond to cardiac alarms promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and disease management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
• Ensure a safe and compassionate environment for all patients on the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of med-surg nursing principles and protocols
• Skilled in IV insertion and medication administration
• Excellent patient assessment and documentation abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
