Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to complex trauma and surgical patients, including spinal cord injuries, gunshot wounds, and paraplegia
• Monitor neurological status and vital signs, recognizing subtle changes and intervening promptly
• Manage surgical incisions, drains, and wound care with meticulous attention to infection prevention
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Offer compassionate education and support to patients and their families during recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or valid compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical or Trauma nursing experience
• EPIC electronic health record proficiency required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must be able to provide work history, skills checklist, references, and Nursys license verification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of trauma and post-surgical nursing care
• Expertise in neurological assessments and spinal cord injury management
• Proficient in EPIC charting and documentation
• Excellent critical thinking and crisis response skills
