Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: St. Louis, MO
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem scheduling; 8.5-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient specimens accurately and efficiently
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure reliable results
- Document and report test results in a timely and precise manner
- Follow established safety, infection control, and HIPAA protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP or equivalent
- Missouri state licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician, if applicable
- Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems and automated analyzers
- Understanding of laboratory safety, quality control, and infection prevention
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
