Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for their visit—greet, room, and put them at ease
• Measure and document vital signs accurately and efficiently
• Assist providers with ambulatory procedures and exams
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tasks as directed
• Maintain clear, timely patient records in the EHR
• Manage patient flow and help keep the clinic running smoothly
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, safe, and stocked

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; relevant clinical experience considered
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assisting program is a plus
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Experience or comfort working in ambulatory care settings preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills; a team player attitude
• Ability to handle routine clinical tasks and prioritize in a busy clinic

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Medical Assisting OR equivalent clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ambulatory care workflows and patient triage
• Comfortable taking vitals, performing phlebotomy, and specimen handling
• Experience or willingness to learn common EHR systems and documentation best practices
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and the care team
