Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4x10hr Day shift); Fridays off. Every other Tuesday shift will be at Totem Lake Clinic (12910 Totem Lake Blvd NE, Suite 101, Kirkland, WA 98034). No weekends or holidays, no on-call.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs accurately to prepare them for provider visits
• Chart thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC, documenting histories, medications, and allergies
• Position and drape patients appropriately and prepare exam rooms for procedures
• Perform telephone triage, handle pharmacy refill requests, and follow up on patient calls
• Verify insurance, complete authorization forms, and assist with chart preparation
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to keep a busy clinic on time
• Float between Canyon Park and Totem Lake clinics as needed to support staffing
• Support a high-volume provider with attention to detail on administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

• Active MA-C certification required (MA-R will not be accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 6 months experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic
• Demonstrated experience charting in EPIC is required
• Reliable transportation required — candidate must be able to travel between clinic sites
• MA-C must be in hand at the time of signature; pending licenses are not accepted
• Open to first-time travelers; flexible scheduling within the contract is helpful

Knowledge & Skills

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs (pulse oximetry, height/weight, vision/hearing screens)
• EPIC charting and accurate documentation of history/medications/allergies
• Positioning and draping for exams
• Authorization forms and insurance verification processes
• Pharmacy refill calls, scheduling, and chart preparation
• Telephone triage and timely follow-up phone calls
• Familiarity with adult outpatient clinic workflows, ideally rheumatology experience
