Medical Assistant - Ambulatory

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible shifts, as needed
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients in an ambulatory setting
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs and medical histories
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and record-keeping
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification required (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in taking vital signs and patient assessments
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality
