Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, ensuring safe deliveries
• Assist with cesarean sections and emergency procedures as needed
• Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state license accepted)
• At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and sterile techniques
• Knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal resuscitation
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health records
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress situations
