Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, and vascular access, using state-of-the-art GE Biplane imaging equipment.
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and position patients, select imaging parameters, and operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Document all procedures and patient care in Meditech, maintaining accurate and complete records.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, providing timely emergency interventional coverage for the hospital.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of radiologists, nurses, and technologists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
• IR Certification (Interventional Radiology) required
• Current CPR-BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Interventional Radiology
• Previous travel experience is a plus, along with the ability to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with GE Biplane imaging systems and interventional radiology equipment
• Solid understanding of interventional procedures, sterile technique, and radiation safety
• Experience with Meditech EHR for accurate charting and documentation
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions in emergencies
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills, with a caring and professional demeanor
