Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings and scaling
- Take and develop dental x-rays with precision
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and overall health
- Assist dentists during procedures and patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure infection control standards
- Collaborate with the dental team to create positive patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and best practices
- Proficiency in dental radiography
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity
