Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Screen patients for oral diseases and abnormalities, assisting in early detection
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to deliver optimal treatment outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and infection control
• Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
• Strong understanding of oral health and preventive care principles
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
