Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and preventive care for patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care routines
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental assistant to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Provide a comfortable, welcoming experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work an afternoon-to-evening shift
• Prior dental office experience is a plus
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
• Patient education and motivational interviewing skills
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a dental team
• Basic computer skills for electronic patient documentation
