Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
• Support safe and timely transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
• Document care and observations professionally and clearly in resident records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Engage residents with friendly conversation and meaningful social interaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Willingness to complete facility-required screenings (background check, drug screen, TB test, immunizations)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Clear documentation and charting practices
• Basic infection control and PPE usage
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
