Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
Measure, record, and report vital signs and changes in condition to the nursing team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in charting systems
Support safe infection-control practices and a clean environment
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Help with safe transfers and mobility assistance while promoting resident independence
Participate in care planning and follow care plans to meet individualized needs

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
Up-to-date immunizations as required by employer
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
Comfort working as part of a team and following established care plans

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (or state equivalent) required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Basic charting and documentation skills
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Good interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
Dependability, attention to detail, and a compassionate bedside manner
