Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate bedside care and personal support
- Monitor and document patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning of patients
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to coordinate care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (California) — must be current and in good standing
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and following care plans
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility orientation and background checks
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and safety procedures
- Infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Vital signs monitoring and basic charting
- Respectful patient communication and cultural sensitivity
- Familiarity with electronic health records is a plus
