Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — help with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Assist nursing staff by observing, documenting, and reporting changes in resident condition
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) with dignity and respect for each resident
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to promote excellent care
• Help with routine tasks like vital signs, turns/positioning, and assisting with ambulation as directed

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active certification or ability to obtain CNA credential in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
• Compassionate patient-first attitude, strong communication, and teamwork skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of personal care and ADLs
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Clear, respectful communication with residents and team members
• Time management and the ability to follow care plans and directions
• Recordkeeping and basic charting skills
