Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement therapy interventions following the occupational therapy plan of care to help patients regain independence
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner to support optimal outcomes
  • Assist with patient and family education so they feel confident and empowered in the recovery process
  • Communicate patient status, observations, and updates to the supervising OT to ensure coordinated care
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to create a secure environment for patients and teammates

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active COTA license in the state of Kansas, or ability to obtain one
  • Strong teamwork and patient care skills to thrive in a collaborative rehab setting
  • A positive, compassionate attitude and a commitment to helping others

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Occupational therapy interventions and modalities
  • Patient care, education, and communication
  • Clinical documentation and compliance standards
  • Infection control and safety protocols
  • Teamwork and collaboration in a healthcare setting
