Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Travel
Location: Carroll, Iowa
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement therapy interventions tailored to each patient's Occupational Therapy plan of care
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner to support continuity of care
- Provide patient and family education to help build functional independence and confidence
- Communicate patient status and response to treatment with the supervising OT
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe healing environment
- Collaborate with the rehab team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active state COTA license in Iowa (or ability to obtain)
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Occupational therapy principles and interventions
- Therapeutic patient care and functional rehabilitation
- Accurate clinical documentation
- Patient and family education techniques
- Teamwork and interdisciplinary communication
