Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve daily living skills
• Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program
• Current West Virginia COTA license or compact eligibility
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent COTA experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
• Proficiency in documentation and EHR systems
• Ability to train patients and adapt activities to individual needs
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
