Contract Type: Per-Diem

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge
Support safe and clean living environments by following infection-control practices
Document care activities accurately and timely in the resident record
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Reliable transportation to Smethport, PA and willingness to be punctual
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience preferred but new grads are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an approved CNA program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with ADLs and resident hygiene needs
Basic charting and documentation practices
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
