Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain clear, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate warmly and clearly with patients, families, and the care team
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and help train newer staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (per state requirements)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and assisting with mobility
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program completed

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient safety and infection control
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Respectful patient communication and cultural sensitivity
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork and dependable work habits
