Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility to promote dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and staff
• Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality in resident records
• Build rapport with residents and families to create a warm, trusting environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active placement on the Maine CNA Registry (or eligible to be placed)
• Comfortable working the posted day shift hours and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
• Good teamwork, time management and documentation skills
• Compassionate patient interaction and effective communication with families
