Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Help with mobility, positioning, and safe transfers to ensure resident comfort and safety
• Support residents during meals and monitor intake as needed
• Document care services accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to physically assist and transfer residents safely
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Must pass background checks and any required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic resident care principles and ADL assistance
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for elderly residents
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
