Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support to maintain independence
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
Document care, observations and resident needs clearly and promptly
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and families to support coordinated care
Respect resident dignity, privacy and individualized care plans at all times

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state of Pennsylvania) or ability to obtain prior to start
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background check, drug screen and health screenings
Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
Compassion, reliability and strong teamwork skills
Comfortable with physical demands of the role and safe patient handling practices

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing care and patient safety practices
Proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques
Vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection control and standard precautions
Clear, professional communication and teamwork
Attention to detail and good time management
