Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care in a mental health setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and behavioral changes
• Support tele-presenting services for mental health consultations
• Collaborate with nursing and psychiatric staff to ensure patient safety and comfort

Qualifications

• Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least 1 year of recent CNA experience in a mental health or similar setting
• Comfort working with patients with mental health conditions

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations with patience and empathy
• Basic computer skills for documentation
