Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care in a mental health setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe environment
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient behavior, and progress reports accurately
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team
• Assist with medical procedures and examinations under supervision
• Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment for patients
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and therapists to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA and Medical Assistant certifications in California (or compact state eligibility)
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mental health or acute care setting preferred
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and behavioral health needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient care documentation and electronic health records
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism
• Familiarity with medication administration and vital sign monitoring
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
