Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care
Location: Skowhegan, ME
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 2:00 PM - 10:15 PM (per diem; schedule varies)
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents and their families
- Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but new grads are encouraged to apply
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
- Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Teamwork and a positive attitude
