Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 2:00 PM - 10:15 PM (per diem; schedule varies)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
  • Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents and their families
  • Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the nursing team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
  • Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but new grads are encouraged to apply
  • A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
  • Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Teamwork and a positive attitude
