Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility support
• Take and document vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate clearly with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in care plan meetings and follow care instructions with attention to detail
• Adhere to infection control policies and ensure resident dignity at all times

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-certified) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care or similar environment a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Basic computer or charting familiarity helpful for documentation
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assisting with ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
• Comfortable with resident transfers and safe lifting techniques
• Good observational skills and clear communication
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans
