Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Take and document vital signs and observations, and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow care plans
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Support mealtime and toileting needs with dignity and respect
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Participate in unit tasks and contribute to a positive care environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on facility
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Previous CNA or direct care experience preferred; new grads with certification are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care basics and experience assisting with ADLs
• Understanding of infection control best practices
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Time management, teamwork, and professional bedside manner
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting preferred
