Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and compassion
Provide hands-on personal care while promoting independence and comfort
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Maintain clear, concise documentation of care and observations
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to ensure resident well-being

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state-required certification; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfort working in a long-term care environment and delivering hands-on patient care
Background check and drug screen clearance as required by the facility
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner; previous CNA experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Teamwork mindset and clear communication with clinical staff and families
