Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, helping with daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility in a dignified way
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and follow infection control practices
• Support nurses and other clinicians with clinical tasks and patient transfers
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication
• Respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (valid in Georgia)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with patient transfers, lifting and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first mindset
• Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and document accurate vital signs and observations
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Safe patient handling techniques and mobility assistance
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective team communication
