Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support residents during meals and ensure proper hydration and nutrition
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to resident care
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility compliance requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption per facility policy
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant principles and ADL support
- Vital sign monitoring and accurate documentation
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Interpersonal skills to build trust with residents and families
- Time management and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting
- Understanding of resident rights and HIPAA confidentiality
