Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meals and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
  • Help with mobility and transfers to maintain independence
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

  • Current and valid CNA certification in the state of Maine
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • At least 6 months of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Understanding of infection control practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and assist with transfers
