Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and patience for elderly residents
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of patient care techniques and infection control
- Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability to changing resident needs
- Time management and organizational skills
