Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed
• Monitor and document patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery devices
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and home management
• Respond to emergency calls and provide respiratory support during codes

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred
• Previous respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
