Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care through the nursing process
Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve best patient outcomes
Serve as a resource person for complex patient situations
Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care

Qualifications

4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
Licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse
Current BLS & ACLS, preferred to have PALS
National Certification in Surgery/PACU preferred

Education

Completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN-approved institution

Knowledge & Skills

Theoretical knowledge of the nursing process, care management, and continuity of care
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to work in a patient care setting
Mathematical skills for computing rates, ratios, and percentages
