Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients before and after surgery
• Monitor vital signs and manage pain levels in the recovery phase
• Educate families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a calm and reassuring environment for young patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington State
• BLS certification from AHA
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or critical care experience preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience strongly desired

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in pain management techniques
• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations
