Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend (Nights: Fri, Sat, Sun)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $91 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to mothers and newborns in the Family Birthing Center
Manage L&D patients at 1:2 ratios or 1:1 during active deliveries
Provide couplet care on the mother-baby unit at 1:4 ratios
Support standard L&D cases including term, preterm, and general GYN patients
Respond strongly in emergencies and work independently during night shifts
Assist with deliveries alongside 2 RNs and 1 RT
Handle break relief as charge nurse while prioritizing patient safety

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Advanced AWHONN certifications
At least 2 years of L&D experience
2 supervisory references (charge nurse accepted; 1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 years)
Strong emergency response skills for independent night work

Education

RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Expertise in labor and delivery protocols
Ability to manage couplets and postpartum care
Independent decision-making in low-resource night environments
