Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department from triage to discharge
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for acute and critical conditions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures with confidence
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and acuity levels, providing calm and compassionate care in stressful situations
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or compact state) - required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) - required
• ACLS certification - strongly preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
• PALS certification - preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience is a plus, but new grads with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
• Positive, team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of emergency nursing concepts, including triage, cardiac care, and trauma
• Proficiency in using medical equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Skilled in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Capability to communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
