Physical Therapist – UHC Staffing

Location: Merced, CA

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8 hours, flexible to 10 hours for PT travelers, varying shifts including weekends with a 10 hour schedule splitting the weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
Develop and implement therapy plans for diverse patient populations
Collaborate with therapy leaders and other healthcare professionals
Provide high-quality patient care and education
Participate in hospital programs such as wound care and early mobility

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapist license in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience working with adult and geriatric populations
Strong clinical skills in physical therapy with EMR experience

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
Completion of a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)

Knowledge & Skills

Physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
EMR systems, specifically Cerner
Communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
