Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and ensure their comfort
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and appliance placement
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans with precision
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage patient records and schedule follow-up appointments

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification required
• Dental Assisting certification or relevant experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Maryland Dental Assistant licensure or registration if required
• Experience in an orthodontic practice is a plus
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work well in a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
