Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning throughout the shift
• Support mealtime by assisting with feeding and monitoring intake
• Document care accurately and promptly so the whole team stays in the loop
• Create a warm, encouraging environment that brightens each resident's day

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification
• Previous CNA experience in long term care or a similar setting is a plus
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine series, or hold a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and personal hygiene assistance skills
• Comfortable with mobility support, transfers, and safe lifting techniques
• Solid observation and reporting skills
• Clear communication with residents, families, and the care team
• Dependable, patient, and calm under pressure
• Team player who pitches in wherever needed
