Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands on care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to the nursing team
• Support residents during meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
• Help residents stay active and engaged through conversation and companionship
• Collaborate closely with nurses and fellow caregivers to deliver seamless, high quality care
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, comfortable and welcoming
• Document care accurately so every team member has the full picture

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in long term care, skilled nursing or a related setting is a plus
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption
• Ability to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• A genuine passion for caring for others and a dependable, team-first attitude

• Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
• Comfortable taking vital signs and tracking resident observations
• Clear communication with residents, families and the care team
• Patience, empathy and a calm presence under pressure
• Solid time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Attention to detail when documenting care
• Team player mindset with a willingness to jump in and help
