Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output to keep the care team informed
• Support residents during meals to ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Respond quickly and kindly to resident needs, call lights, and requests
• Collaborate with nurses and fellow CNAs to deliver smooth, coordinated care
• Keep resident areas clean, comfortable, and organized throughout your shift

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious and/or medical exemption
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
• A caring attitude, dependable work ethic, and a genuine love for helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking vital signs and documenting resident observations
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and mobility techniques
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and the care team
• Patience, empathy, and a calm approach under pressure
• Attention to detail when charting and reporting changes in condition
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team
