Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments so every patient visit runs smoothly
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during adjustments, bonding, and banding procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs while keeping patients comfortable and informed
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control standards
- Walk patients through aftercare instructions with a calm, friendly approach
- Keep supplies stocked and organized so the team never misses a beat
Qualifications
- Active Orthodontic Certification required
- Dental Assisting experience in an orthodontic or general dental setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Radiography/Dental Assistant credentials as required by Maryland
- A dependable, team-first attitude and a genuine care for patients
- Availability for the 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM shift
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthodontic Assisting techniques and instrument handling
- Dental Assisting fundamentals and chairside support
- Orthodontic terminology, wires, brackets, and elastics
- Sterilization and infection control best practices
- Great communication skills with patients of all ages
- Detail-oriented charting and scheduling support
